How to Set Up and Manage Your Company Branding in Builder Signal

For Builder Admins responsible for the overall account management of Builder Signal. Customize Builder Signal with your logo, brand colors and imagery that will be displayed on your Homeowner websites.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Log into Builder Signal as a Builder Admin
    Ensure you’re logged into the web application with your admin credentials. Only Builder Admins can manage Branding settings.
  2. Navigate to User Management Page
    Go to the drop-down Menu in the upper-right hand corner of the screen and click Settings > Branding.
  3. Logo
    The Logo is displayed at the top of every homeowner website. Whenever the builder logo is clicked, it will redirect to the Website URL configured on the Company Details page.
    - Orientation: Landscape or square orientation.
    - File Format: PNG (recommended for logos requiring transparency) or JPG (for solid backgrounds).
    - File Size: Around 150KB or less, for quicker page loading.
    - Resolution: 250px wide for optimal sharpness on large screens. 
  4. Brand Color
    Enter a 6-digit hexadecimal code (hex code) or use the selector to pick a color that embodies your brand. The Brand Color will be used as accent colors on your homeowner websites.
  5. Main Header Image
    The Main Header Image is the default image that will be applied to all homeowner websites.
    - Orientation: Landscape orientation.
    - File Format: JPG (recommended) or PNG.
    - File Size: Around 500KB or less, for quicker page loading.
    - Resolution: 1920px minimum, for optimal image sharpness on large screens.
    - Background Size: Keep the image centered. The image will be styled in Builder Signal with "background-size: cover," meaning the edges may be cropped slightly to fill the space without distortion.

    The default Main Header Image can be overridden in one of two ways:
    - Community Image: If you upload a Community Elevation Image on the Communities page, the community image will apply to all homes in that community. This will override the default Main Header Image.
    - Elevation Image: If you upload an Elevation Image when you Add a New Home, the Elevation Image will apply to that specific home, overriding the Main Header Image and/or the Community Image.
  6. Main Header Design
    In the drop-down box, choose from: Text on Blue Overlay, Bold Text on Black Overlay or Text Left Image Right. The chosen design option will appear in the Preview Your Homeowner's Site, and allows you to see what your homeowners will experience when they access their website. Adjust any settings to refine your the look and feel of how your Branding applies 
  7. Save Changes
    Click Save to apply your Branding changes.

Common Issues:

  • Logo or Header Images Not Displaying Clearly on Homeowner Websites?
    Make sure all images adhere to the specified size and file format requirements:
    • Logo
      - Orientation: Landscape or square orientation.
      - File Format: PNG (recommended for logos requiring transparency) or JPG (for solid backgrounds).
      - File Size: Around 150KB or less, for quicker page loading.
      - Resolution: 250px wide for optimal sharpness on large screens. 
    • Main Header Image
      - Orientation: Landscape orientation.
      - File Format: JPG (recommended) or PNG.
      - File Size: Around 500KB or less, for quicker page loading.
      - Resolution: 1920px minimum, for optimal image sharpness on large screens.
      - Background Size: Keep the image centered. The image will be styled in Builder Signal with "background-size: cover," meaning the edges may be cropped slightly to fill the space without distortion.
