How to Archive a Home Once Construction is Complete

For Builder Admins needing to archive a home once construction is complete. You will no longer be able to post updates and it will be removed from the homes available in the Builder Signal Mobile App.

Ensure you’re logged into the web application with your admin credentials. Only Builder Admins can archive homes.
  2. Navigate to the Home Management Page

Find the home you want to archive by using the search boxes or scroll through the list.

From the Actions menu, click Edit Home. Scroll to Home Status at the bottom of the page. Use the drop-down menu and select Archived. Click Save.
  5. Confirm the Home Status Change
A pop-up message will ask you to confirm that you'd like to Archive the home. The home will no longer be available for updates and will be removed from the Builder Signal Mobile App. This action will also cease billing for that home. Click OK. The home will now be in the Archived list of homes.
  6. Activate an Archived Home
For your team to make updates, a home must be in Active status. To bring a home back to Active status, go the the Archived menu and select the home you'd like to reactivate. From the Actions drop-down menu, click Edit Home. Navigate to Home Status at the bottom of the page. Choose Active from the drop-down menu and click Save. The home will now appear in the list of Active homes, visible in the Builder Signal Mobile App and ready for updates.

Common Issues:

  • What Happens to the Homeowner's Personalized Website when a Home is Archived?
Homeowners will continue to have access to their personalized website even if their home is in Archived status. They will be able to view all updates made to their home on their construction timeline.
